A Letter from your Photographer
Hello Hello! I’m Mon, a wedding photographer from Mexico City and the creator behind Love Letter Studio.
I see photos as love letters, little time capsules that bring you back to a feeling, like opening an old box of memories.
This became even clearer to me while looking through family albums at my grandmother’s house. I realized how powerful it is to hold onto images of the people we love—how they tell our stories, stay with us, and move through generations. Photos aren’t just memories, they’re pieces of our lives that deserve to last.
I started this new concept to reconnect with my younger self, the kid whose mom gave her disposable cameras to document school trips and moments with friends. That nostalgia still inspires me, which is why I shoot on film, Super 8 video, and other vintage formats besides digital.
More than anything, I love connecting with the couples and places I photograph. Many become friends, and I get to be part of their lives beyond their wedding.
As we say in Spanish, “recordar es volver a vivir”. To remember is to live again. Photography, to me, is all about reliving, feeling, and creating timeless love letters.
